Issue:

GUIDE (the figure editor) fails in Matlab 7.0 and higher with PLS_Toolbox at the top of the path

Possible Solutions:

Matlab 7.0 introduced a function "pan" which is the same name as a function in PLS_Toolbox. The new Matlab function supersedes the PLS_Toolbox version. This function also causes a problem with the GUIDE figure editor when saving or activating a figure. You should remove the pan.m (and pan.p if present) file from the PLS_Toolbox/utilities folder.
